Mid-market companies are running on software that wasn't built for them

One of the things we noticed when we started MintIQ: most mid-market companies are running on software that wasn't built for them.

Most companies begin with a simple setup. A finance system, with Google Sheets around it. That works — the focus is on building the business, not on tooling. As growth picks up, they typically add another system. A basic WMS, a lightweight project planner.

This keeps working. Until more customers, more revenue, more demands. Then it starts to strain.

What we see: companies often stay stuck in this phase for years. Why? Because moving up to a higher-tier system is a big step. Implementations of €100,000 or more aren't uncommon. For a company that hasn't yet hit high revenue levels, that's a gamble you'd rather postpone.

In our NetSuite years, we kept seeing companies running on highly inefficient setups long after they should have moved on. Not because they didn't see it, but because the switch was too big.

With MintIQ, we're trying to solve this with three principles:

No implementation costs. The one-time setup is often the biggest risk. The money is spent, and if the system doesn't work as hoped, it's a lost investment. That risk simply isn't there.

Process guidance. Our projects are led by a consultant with experience in the customer's business processes. No separate invoice — this guidance is included in the software cost. It's our investment in a long-term partnership. We play a hands-on role in the switch, on the substance and the technology. And this doesn't end at go-live. We stay involved in the processes we built together.

A senior consultant inside the system. Senior support is baked into the system itself, at no extra cost. The AI assistant answers questions, helps you find the right options, and spots problems before they get out of hand.

Switching to a new system is never easy. It takes preparation, process optimization, and getting used to a new platform. That doesn't change. But with MintIQ, you can make that switch sooner — to a system that can actually support your growth.
